The Liberty Event in Kilburn

Did you hear about the Liberty Event, which took place in Kilburn? On Saturday, 7 October, the members of the community groups joined forces to host this jam-packed event, with the aim of promoting the work we do to the locals.

Over 100 people were present and more than 20 of them were entering through the doors of our church for the first time.

The various community groups hosted a variety of activities such as free blood pressure checks, live entertainment, as well as a prayer station for those who were in need of spiritual support.

Our Children Biblical Centre (CBC) entertained all the kids with an exciting bouncy castle, comical characters, face painting, and some delicious snacks too!

The volunteers of the Caleb group made their best effort to make the senior attendees feel special too with pampering, hot drinks and biscuits.

There was a selection of free vintage clothes and the weekly food bank was also available where you could collect food parcels.

A volunteer who helped on the day explained, “The Liberty Event was a great day to remember, it was very vibrant. It was lovely allowing the community to see what we do whilst being involved in a variety of activities. My highlight was seeing everyone smile, not want to leave and ask when we’ll be holding the next one.”
