Bishop Renato Cardoso recently launched the “Job Challenge”, inviting the faithful to choose a verse from the Book of Job and explain, in just one minute, why it holds a personal significance to them. This initiative aims to encourage daily Bible reflection and strengthen the faith of all participants.
One verse highlighted in the challenge is Job 1:7: “And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
This verse reminds us of an important truth: the devil is not confined to hell. He roams the earth, seeking to cause harm. By remaining spiritually vigilant and connected to God, Christians can guard themselves to avoid the traps of the enemy from affecting their lives.
We invite you to take part and encourage others to join as well. Simply:
Share your chosen verse from the book of Job
Record a short video explaining its importance to you
Challenge three friends to do the same
And use the hashtag #DesafiodeJó, #AVidadeJó, and #Univer.
In doing so, a chain of faith and learning is created throughout the community.
To complement the challenge, the Universal Church has launched the series “The Life of Job,” premiering exclusively on Univer Video this Friday, 15th August. The series follows Job’s journey, demonstrating how his unwavering faith in the face of trials serves as an example to us all.
Take part in the Job Challenge today and strengthen your faith and inspire others along the way!
