The Invisible Wounds That Only God Can Restore

No one likes to feel pain. When our body experiences pain, we often feel distressed as signals highlight that something inside is not right, warning us to seek help before the problem worsens. Modern medicine, with all its advances, is an essential support during these times. It helps us relieve pain, identify its cause, and treat what lies beneath.

Yet, not all pain is physical. Some wounds are felt deep within the soul – the pain of rejection, guilt, loneliness, deep sadness, dealing with grief and loss, and many others that only those experiencing them truly understand. These invisible wounds can be just as real and often far more enduring than any physical illness.

Many people try to hide such pain by distracting themselves or numbing their feelings, but the emptiness remains. Just like with physical pain, to truly resolve the issue, we must address what lies beneath.

When pain reaches the soul, there is only One who can bring true restoration: God. He alone knows every corner of the human heart. The Bible describes Him as “the One who heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). When we open our hearts to Him, He not only offers comfort but also restores what we have lost – peace, strength, and hope.

This is the purpose behind The Sunday of All Souls, taking place at all Universal Churches this 2nd November. It will be a special gathering for those carrying anguish, sorrow, or spiritual burdens for which they have found no solution. You will learn how to place your soul’s pain in God’s hands and discover the peace and restoration that only He can bring.
