The Importance of The Lord’s Supper of Strength

News

At the most challenging moment of His earthly journey, in a time of profound weakness, the Lord Jesus poured out His soul in the Garden of Gethsemane — the place of the olive press. He cried out: “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will. (Matthew 26:39)

In that moment, God sent an angel to strengthen Him. The help arrived precisely when it was needed most, granting Him the strength to face His darkest hour and ultimately fulfil the purpose of His life.

Likewise, if your soul finds itself in a similar state — burdened by pain, deep sadness, weariness, or a sense that your strength has faded — through faith, the strength you thought you had lost can begin to return.

On Wednesday, 26 November, you are invited to take part in the “The Lord’s Supper of Strength”. The service will be held at the Cathedral of Miracles or at your nearest Universal Church, at 7:30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm).

During the meeting, we will also continue the Study of the Mysteries of Gethsemane. Each lesson offers valuable insights into this difficult yet profoundly significant moment in the Lord Jesus’s mission leading up to the cross.

Gethsemane was the setting for the fulfilment of numerous prophecies. It was there that the first drop of Jesus’s blood was shed. It is also a place that teaches us to surrender our own will so that we may be filled with the will of God. Gethsemane holds many mysteries and hidden lessons woven throughout the accounts of the four Gospels.

We invite you to uncover some of these mysteries this Wednesday.
