On Sunday, 3 August, the Great Worldwide Cry Out for Justice was held at the Temple of Solomon in São Paulo, Brazil. This powerful gathering united bishops and pastors from over 140 countries in one faith, as they cried out for the Campaign of Justice.
At the beginning of the meeting, Bishop Renato Cardoso invited all bishops and pastors to stand before the Altar, carrying the ashes of previously burned prayer requests.
Everyone present lifted their voices to cry out for justice. The prayer was first led in Portuguese by Bishop Renato, and then continued in various languages – a powerful demonstration of global unity as many nations united with a single purpose.
After the prayer, Bishop Renato and the pastors consecrated oil as an act of faith. He then delivered a message addressing one of humanity’s greatest challenges: living under the curse of sin. Quoting Genesis 3:17, he emphasised that sin itself is a curse.
The Solution to Sin is Repentance
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” – Acts 3:19
“Repentance,” he explained, “is recognising one’s wrongdoing and feeling genuine sorrow for having disobeyed God. It’s not about blaming others, but sincerely examining oneself.”
“When there is true repentance and surrender, refreshing follows—bringing relief, inner peace, and the certainty of salvation. This doesn’t mean a life free from struggles, but one filled with divine peace.”
Bishop Renato also highlighted the importance of water baptism, describing it as the true baptism of repentance.
