“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” (John 4:35)
Those familiar with life in the countryside understand what it means when fields are described as “white.” It refers to the moment when the crops have fully ripened and are ready to be gathered. Delaying the harvest could result in losing what has been cultivated.
