The Day of an Audience with God

Audience with God
Something very special is taking place on Sunday, 12th October, in every Universal Church across the UK: The Day of an Audience with God.

In the first book of Samuel, chapter 1, we read the story of Hannah. She was married to Elkanah, who loved her deeply, yet she could not have children. Pressured by tradition, Elkanah took a second wife, named Peninnah, which only added to Hannah’s grief and humiliation.

In her distress, Hannah went to the Tabernacle and poured out her heart before God (1 Samuel 1:10–18).

Just like Hannah, many today face heartbreak, frustration, and humiliation. Yet her story shows us that we can take our deepest complaints directly to God. Hannah represents all those who feel despised, misunderstood or without a solution to their problems—those who cry into their food, soak their pillow with tears, and suffer in silence. But God understands your pain, and He is ready to help you.

Even now, it’s common to rely on the faith of others, clinging to tradition and religiosity instead of seeking God directly. Hannah herself was trapped in this cycle for years, influenced by her husband’s customs. Even the priest Eli, misunderstanding her, tried to stop her. But she knew only God could answer her cry.

This determination is a reminder that we do not need intermediaries. The Altar of God remains open to all who come before Him in faith.

This is what ‘The Day of an Audience with God’ is all about. On Sunday, 12th October, you are invited to your nearest Universal Church to do as Hannah did: to pour out your problems and your deepest requests before Him and trust that He will hear you.
