The “Day Between”—Understanding the Power of Holy Saturday

Holy Saturday

Good Friday and Easter Sunday are central moments for Christians, marking respectively the crucifixion and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. But did you know that the day between them—Holy Saturday—also represents a deep and powerful event?

On Holy Saturday, Jesus descended into the depths of darkness and took back the keys of death from Satan. As it is written in Revelation 1:17–18: “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

These keys symbolise the authority that had been in Satan’s hands since the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden. By reclaiming them, Jesus carried out a divine rescue mission—opening the way for our reconciliation with the Father and granting us, through His Holy Name, freedom from spiritual death and all forms of negativity.

Despite this victory, many remain captive, burdened by physical and spiritual chains that prevent them from living fulfilling and meaningful lives. But why does this happen if the Lord of lords has already won the battle?

The answer can be understood through a simple analogy. Many people are entitled to certain rights or benefits, but if they never claim them, they will never have access to them. Similarly, the freedom Jesus secured must be accepted and claimed through faith.

This Holy Saturday at 7am, we invite you to join us at your local Universal Church and take this important step. Come before God, lay down your burdens and struggles, and claim by faith the victory that the Lord Jesus has already won for you.

You are encouraged to bring a set of keys to be anointed, as we will unite our faith to declare not only freedom from all negativity but also the opening of every closed door in your life.

If you can*, come fasting. When combined with faith, fasting becomes a powerful spiritual weapon that strengthens our prayers and deepens our connection with God, paving the way for great victories.

Don’t miss this powerful gathering. Join us at the Universal Church nearest to you.
