The 1% that impacts 100% of your life

Our lives are made of routines, and there are people who can’t live without them, but the question that remains is: have your routines been destroying or improving your love life?

Routines can be great and establishing good habits will certainly help you to achieve your goals. But there are also routines that can get in our way and even produce negative consequences.

The students of the Love Therapy Seminars have been learning about the importance of establishing healthy routines in their love life, such as doing simple gestures for your spouse, eating meals together as much as possible and going to bed at the same time.

For the singles, a good routine involves healing from your past, taking care of yourself, preparing for a future relationship and not being afraid to meet new people.

Last week, the main lesson invited the attendees to reflect on what negative routines they carry which must be broken in order for them to be happy in their love life.

A routine is characterised by a set of actions which have become so engraved into a person that they can be taken without much thought, to the point that they act without much thought, it’s second nature.

The danger of this is when a routine damages you or the people you love, such as doing the silent treatment or lashing out when you are angry, holding on to grudges rather than moving on from your past, or even believing that you will never be happy in your love life.

At the end of the service, both the couples and singles were encouraged to do some homework.

For the couples, it was to ask your partner about what routine they see in you that you need to break.

For this task to be productive, it is essential that you do not argue with your partner or allow things to escalate. Instead, take it as an opportunity to see what steps you can take to improve the quality of your marriage.

The singles were not forgotten, and their homework was to analyse what they can do to change their routine.

Although, it can be harder to see your own faults, this task is essential, as a small change in your routine could be all that is standing between you and your blessing.

To learn more about how you can be happy in your love life and receive these very useful tips, join us every Thursday at the Love Therapy. The meetings, taking place at the Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park, have been designed to help you learn how to love intelligently.
