Nothing to Lose 1 & 2 on Univer Video

Nothing to Lose 1
Success perfectly captures the impact that ‘Nothing to Lose: Against All Odds’ and ‘Nothing to Lose 2: You Can’t Hide the Truth’ had upon their cinema release. Due to high demand from subscribers, the ‘Nothing to Lose’ franchise has now been added to the Univer Video platform. The first film premiered on 14th February, and the second film, today.

The ‘Nothing to Lose’ films are based on the real-life story of Bishop Edir Macedo and the Universal Church, inspired by the autobiographical trilogy of the same name. Produced by Paris Filmes and directed by Alexandre Avancini, the films delve into the childhood, youth, and spiritual journey of Bishop Macedo. They depict his romance with Ester Bezerra, the birth of his daughters Cristiane Cardoso and Viviane Freitas, and the adoption of his youngest son, Moyses.

The films also reveal Bishop Macedo’s true intention when preaching at the Méier Bandstand in Rio de Janeiro, the behind-the-scenes story of the birth of the Universal Church and its expansion, as well as the reasons for carrying out evangelistic work on radio and television. Additionally, alongside his dedication to the Work of God, ‘Nothing to Lose’ 1 and 2 also recount the persecution of the Church, including the bishop’s imprisonment and the conflicting moments that nurtured the faith, trust in God, and perseverance of all who are part of the Universal Church.
