Is it a constant battle in your mind?

Protection of the Head
Many of us can agree that the mind often feels like a battlefield. From the moment we wake up, it’s filled with conflicting thoughts: “Do I get up now or hit snooze? Should I choose something healthy to eat or just grab whatever’s quick? Should I face that issue at work or pretend it isn’t there?”

Our thoughts influence everything. When the mind is healthy and focused, it’s easier to make good decisions. But when it’s clouded by negativity, fear or pressure, poor choices can quickly follow. One bad thought left to grow can spiral into anger, doubt, regret or even destructive behaviour. On the other hand, nurturing positive, godly thoughts brings peace, clarity and strength, and these benefits are reflected in our decisions and in the way we live.

That’s why it’s so important to guard the mind. Just as a Solider would never enter battle without a helmet, we shouldn’t leave our thoughts unprotected.

The Bible says: “O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in battle.” (Psalm 140:7).

The verse reminds us that we don’t have to face this struggle alone. Protection for our thoughts and clarity in decision-making are not only possible, they’re promised when we seek God’s help.

On Friday, 26th September, join us at a Universal Church near you for the Friday of the Anointing of the Protection of the Head. This is an opportunity to break free from negative thoughts, protect the mind through prayer and anointing and determine that evil will not prevail.

When the mind is unprotected, evil knows where to strike. But when the head is covered, the battle can be won.
