Just as one issue appears to be resolving, another arises. Some have faced repeated setbacks at work, while others have dealt with constant conflicts at home, unexpected losses, or a persistent feeling of emotional exhaustion. It can feel like no matter how much effort you put in, life keeps pushing you down—as if you are being crushed by circumstances beyond your control.
Perhaps you’ve asked yourself questions like, “Why does this keep happening to me? Why do the same problems keep returning? Why does it feel like I can’t move forward, no matter how hard I try?” You may have fought with all your strength, changing habits, seeking advice and trying to stay positive, yet the burden remains. This tiredness goes beyond the physical; it reaches into your very soul.
What many people don’t realise is that not every battle is fought solely on a natural level. While effort and determination are essential, there are times when the root of the problem runs deeper. The Bible teaches that there are spiritual forces that seek to oppress, burden and keep people stuck in cycles of suffering. These forces work subtly, draining hope, peace and clarity, making life feel consistently heavy and overwhelming—even when there’s no obvious reason.
That’s why there are times when human strength alone is not enough. True freedom requires spiritual intervention. With this understanding, on Friday, 26 December, we will hold the last Spiritual Cleansing service of the year. This special meeting is for those who are tired of carrying a weight they cannot explain and wish to end this year free.
