Facing the Impossible? Put it in God’s Hands

5 Sundays of the Hand of God web article
Have you ever stopped to think what could happen if you truly placed your life and your problems into God’s hands?

The same mighty hand that delivered the people of Israel from slavery is still at work today. It is that very hand that can bring freedom from burdens that may feel overwhelming, whether financial, emotional, or spiritual.

On Sunday, 5th April, we began a new purpose: “5 Sundays of the Hand of God.” This is an opportunity for you to bring your biggest problem before God with intention and faith.

There are certain problems in life that no human effort can solve. Some situations lie completely beyond our control, and it is in these moments that faith becomes essential.

The Bible gives powerful examples of people who faced impossible situations yet chose to trust God.

Think about David standing before Goliath. By human standards, he didn’t stand a chance. Yet David didn’t rely on his own strength. He relied on God, and that made all the difference.

Then there is Joshua. In the middle of a battle that was far from over, with daylight fading, he declared:

“Sun, stand still over Gibeon; and Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” (Joshua 10:12)

At that time, fighting in the dark was not an option. There were no lights, no modern weapons—darkness would have meant defeat. Joshua understood this. But instead of panicking, he acted in faith. He had already been instructed by God to be strong and courageous. Now was the moment to live it.

He did not keep his faith quiet. He did not hesitate or second-guess himself. In front of everyone, he boldly spoke and commanded the sun and moon to stand still.

To others, it may have sounded outrageous. He risked being completely discredited if nothing happened. But Joshua was certain God was with him and the extraordinary took place. His faith moved God to act.

So, how does this apply to your life today?

This is the attitude we are called to have when facing life’s challenges:

  • Be courageous
  • Speak with faith
  • Trust in God’s power, not your own limitations

Even if your words are not perfect…

Even if you don’t fully understand how things will work out…

Even if others doubt you…

Your faith, expressed through action, can move the hand of God.

As it is written: “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save…” (Isaiah 59:1)

So, the real question is: will you continue trying to carry everything alone, or will you place it into the Hands that never fail?

As part of the 5 Sundays of the Hand of God,” take this as your moment to act. Join us at your local Universal Church and bring your problem before God—not timidly, but with boldness and faith.

Because when you place your life in His hands, you are no longer limited by what you can do alone; and that changes everything.
