Are You Stuck in the Same Place?

Financially Stagnant
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, stagnation is a situation in which something stays the same and does not grow or develop.

Does that describe where you are right now?

Have your finances been stuck in the same place for months or even years? Does your career feel like it’s going nowhere? Maybe your business is moving so slowly that it feels like nothing is happening at all. Stagnation often goes unnoticed—sometimes we only become aware of it when we look back and realise that we’ve been stuck in the same place.

But here’s the good news: you don’t have to stay stagnant. Change is possible, and it may not be as complicated as you think. It often begins with two simple but powerful principles: order and discipline.

At the very beginning of the Bible, in Genesis 1:2, describes the Earth was “without form and void.” In other words, empty, still, without progress. But God didn’t leave it that way. He brought order. He carefully placed everything where it should be. The sky, the sea, the stars – all perfectly arranged, and movement began only after order was established.

Stagnation often creeps in when we fail to follow through on our commitments:

  • “This year I’m going to save more.” But a few months later, you’re dipping into savings for unnecessary expenses.
  • “I’ll tithe consistently from now on.” But one bad month comes, and suddenly that promise is gone.
  • “I’m going to give my business 100%.” But procrastination and distractions keep getting the better of you.
  • “I’ll stick to my budget.” But a sale you couldn’t resist derails your plan.

If your finances, careers, or businesses are stuck, it might be because you’ve allowed disorder and inconsistency to keep you stagnant.

Breaking free means making the choice to do what needs to be done—especially when you don’t feel like it. Order and discipline create momentum. Momentum leads to progress. Progress breaks stagnation.

It’s not too late to move forward again. Join us for the Prosperity with God meeting as we will be ‘Breaking the Curse of Stagnation.’ By applying these principles alongside your faith, you could see the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for.
