A Sunday of Renewal, Power and Justice

Bible
This Sunday marks the conclusion of the 21-days Fast of Daniel, a three-week period during which many have stepped away from the distractions of everyday life such as entertainment, social media, the news, or other forms of secular information, in order to hear the voice of God.

The goal? To draw closer to Him and to seek the most precious gift He has to offer: the Holy Spirit.

But why is this so important? The Bible tells us that when we receive the Holy Spirit, we receive power. But what kind of power, you might ask? It’s not the kind the world associates with wealth or fame but the power to rise above temptation, overcome struggles, and stand firm in our faith no matter what life throws our way. It’s a strength that does not come from within ourselves, but from God alone.

Let’s be honest – we cannot make it on our own. But, when we have the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live in a way that resists the expectations of this world, so that we may one day spend eternity with Him.

This Sunday also presents a special opportunity for those who are ready to make a fresh start. Water baptism will be available for anyone wishing to leave their past behind and begin a new life with God (in some branches, baptisms may take place on Saturday). This moment of renewal will be sealed with the sacred ceremony of the Lord’s Supper – a time to sit at the table with our Heavenly Father, just as Jesus instructed, in remembrance of Him.

In addition, we have been preparing to come to the Altar of Justice. For the second Sunday of justice, we will bring our personal cases before God. Whether you are facing financial hardship, family difficulties, relationship challenges, or spiritual battles – this is the moment to place it all before the One true Judge.

We have written down our requests, and we will lay them on the Altar – the courtroom of God and cry out in faith. When we surrender not just our problems but our lives into His hands, He responds with justice, mercy, and love.

As the Bible reminds us: “But let justice run down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream.” (Amos 5:24)

So let us come before God with boldness and faith, trusting that He hears, He sees, and that He will answer.
