On Monday, February 10, Bishop Celso Junior held The Night of Big Dreams at the Cathedral of Miracles in London. While some attendees came from nearby, others travelled from afar to join in the celebration of the 30 years of the Universal Church in the United Kingdom.
The bishop began the meeting by asking some attendees what their dreams and plans for life were, emphasising the importance of having dreams and goals.
โOf course, not everything we plan will happen exactly as we want, because men can have plans, but the answer comes from God. But we need to have dreams and goals. For example, when we talked about the trajectory of the Universal Church here in the United Kingdom, when Bishop Renato came here with his wife 30 years ago, he had a dream, a vision: to start the work of the Universal Church here,โ explained Bishop Junior.
โThey were very young at the time and started in a very small place. Then there was an opportunity to acquire Brixton Academy. We almost got there, but there were some complications, and it was as if the plan was being frustrated. However, they discovered the Rainbow Theatre, which was almost a โtwin brotherโ of Brixton Academy. They came here, and some of you remember the state in which this building was completely destroyed. But we acquired it, started to renovate it, and today it is one of the most beautiful buildings in the United Kingdomโ, he added.
Bishop Junior explained that we will encounter obstacles in the pursuit of our dreams, but when this happens, we should not question God, but rather work around those obstacles, even if it takes longer than planned.
Meditating on the passage from Genesis 1:26. โThen God said, โLet Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.โ
Godโs dream for us is that we have dominion over everything. This was His dream for Adam and Eve, but He set one conditionโthey were not to touch the tree He had specifically forbidden, as a test of obedience. When they touched the tree and ate the fruit, they made it impossible for that dream to come true. โPeopleโs suffering is not Godโs dream. You cannot blame God for your failures. When we do that, we are going against the Only One who can truly help us. When God looks at us, He wants us to succeed. However, our dreams must be aligned with Godโs dreams,โ advised the bishop.
โBishop Renatoโs dream was not for his personal gain, but for God to be glorified through this place, in this country, and seeing that, God helped him. He has helped us to this day with this dream of winning souls,โ added Bishop Junior. โThat is the secret to our success. What is your intention with your plan? What does it have to do with God? Your vision and the vision that God has for you must match. This way, you are no longer fighting alone. God starts fighting alongside you and opening doors.โ
Everyone had the opportunity to go to the Altar to present their dreams to God, receiving strength and direction to pursue their goals and achieve the victory they so desire.
Bishop Junior also emphasised that prosperity comes from God and that itโs His promise to us, but there is something even more important: the Holy Spirit. The meeting concluded with the seeking of the Holy Spirit, which is the greatest treasure we can conquer.
Godpower travelled all the way from Newcastle for the meeting and shared his experience:
โWhat resonated with me the most is that having a dream isnโt enoughโit must align with Godโs dream. When that alignment happens, itโs a perfect match, and it will surely come to pass.โ
