Yes, We Canuary!

Yes we can
The Canuary, appeal is on its way to being a success, from January until now we have set out to collect at least 25 tonnes of donated food for our Food Banks.

Last week Saturday in North London, our volunteers set out to ask the public for tins and food items. Desreen from the branch in Stamford Hill spoke on her experience:

“This is an amazing incentive, people are really willing to give and donate as much as they can to support their community. It was such a blessing, we have already received people calling for us to collect from them and some have come to the church to drop off their donated items. I’m sure we will all breakthrough in this Canuary appeal.”IMAGE 2023 02 09 10 01 15

We would like to thank the local communities who are contributing towards this Canuary initiative. Every donation, no matter how small, goes a long way.

“People were very happy to hear about Canuary campaign that was happening in the local community because everyone knows about the financial crisis that is going on right now. Everyone knows that there will definitely be those in the community that are in need. We met people who wanted to do their part to help the community. A lot of people gave straight away and they still took a leaflet because they said they want to give more, it was a brilliant community vibe. People actually saying it was nice to see a charity on the streets, it was a brilliant success!” Ann from Stamford Hill

Help us, keep others alive by donating tin food to one of our local Universal Churches/Food banks.
