Would a King wash the feet of his people?

Night of the Soul,

Would a King wash the feet of his people?

The scenario of a king washing his people’s feet may be totally unheard of, the roles reversed but that’s exactly what the Lord Jesus did, He reversed the roles leaving us with an example of true servitude.

This Wednesday, 28 September at 7.30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm) during ‘The Night of the Soul’ we will serve The Lord’s Supper with the washing of the feet. The Lord’s Supper is a special ceremony that was instituted by the Lord Jesus Himself. It refers to His sacrifice on the cross as a ransom for those who choose to honour this sacrifice by believing and obeying Him.

From the washing of the feet to partaking in the Lord’s Supper these are all precious opportunities that are Biblical that the Lord Jesus created in order for us to draw closer to Him and truly learn to serve Him by serving others.

The Lord Jesus said the following: “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” (1 Corinthians 11:24)

And on a separate occasion regarding the washing of the feet “…Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” (John 13:8)

Become one with God in this unique evening of the Night of the Soul with the Lord’s Supper and the Washing of the Feet.
