Special Sunday Service with Bishop Celso Junior

Bishop C Junior
Last Sunday Bishop Celso Junior opened the service with a powerful message:

“Everywhere I go, I’ve been sharing this, and I believe this message applies to all of us. If you listen carefully, it will change your life for good. If you despise it, it could change your life for bad.”

As time progresses, the world becomes increasingly divided. We see divisions in every aspect of society: countries, cities, boroughs, and councils. People are separated by class, age, gender, and even new laws that grant individuals the freedom to choose their paths. These divisions may hold significance to society, but in the eyes of God, there are only two groups that truly matter—the saved and the unsaved.

Jesus commanded: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15).

God does not see the earthly divisions that people create. His word makes it clear—those who believe and are baptised will be saved. This is the ultimate concern for God, and it should be for us as well, as everything else in this world will pass away. Each person must reflect on which group they truly belong to. If Jesus were to return today, would you go with Him, or would you be left behind?

Many people believe that being a good person or performing good deeds is enough to be accepted by God. However, Bishop emphasised that simply claiming salvation does not make you saved. Everyone must examine themselves: “If your time were to come today, where would you be standing?”

In the physical world, people go about their daily routines—working, eating, and commuting. But in the spiritual world, an unseen battle is constantly taking place. Every day, people cross between the saved and unsaved groups. Someone may wake up in one group and go to bed in another.

This service was urging those who woke up in the wrong group to go home in the right one.

The Bible provides examples of individuals who changed groups:

  • King David, a man after God’s own heart, committed adultery and murder, shifting from the saved group to the unsaved.
  • Peter, one of Jesus’ disciples, denied Him and momentarily fell into the unsaved group. Yet, he repented and returned to the saved group, remaining faithful until the end.

These examples illustrate that every day, people shift between these two groups. It is a reminder of the importance of perseverance. Bishop emphasised that God uses His people to evangelise because negative forces constantly attempt to pull believers away from the saved group. Therefore, spiritual vigilance is essential.

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.” (John 14:16)

Relying on personal strength alone is insufficient to remain in the saved group. The presence of the Holy Spirit is not optional—it is a necessity.

The service concluded with an Altar call for those who recognised they were in the wrong group and for those who had yet to receive the Holy Spirit.

This powerful message served as a wake-up call, urging everyone to reflect, repent, and ensure they are on the right path before it is too late.
