The UCKG HelpCentre held its second annual Jobs Fair at the Rainbow Theatre, Finsbury Park on Tuesday 24 October. The half day event attracted 65 jobseekers, mostly in the 25-34 age range, and as a result 12 of the attendees were recruited onto Intech Centre courses.

“Our aim was to help match good quality candidates with employers or training organisations,” said Kim Powell, the UCKG HelpCentre’s Community Outreach Coordinator, whose department organised the fair in close liaison with the exhibitors. “Participants enjoyed the event and found it useful.”

Besides the UCKG Training Centre, seven exhibitors had stands in the HelpCentre’s foyer on Seven Sisters Road. They were:

Delaware North
Yo! Sushi
University of East London
UR Choice Care.
The Princes Trust
Intech Centre
City Year UK

David Marks of Yo! Sushi said: “This was a fantastic event with great candidates and Pastor Mark was also very helpful.” Ibrahim Wilson, Partnership Officer/Senior Administrator for the ITech Centre added: “Thank you again for inviting us, we did find the job fair helpful and we were able to recruit 12 candidates for our courses.”
