Mid-Year Intercession

Prayer for Protection web article
Life moves in seasons and cycles. While many people see the end of June as the close of another month, others recognise it as an important turning point – a time to reflect and prepare for what lies ahead.

For many families, home should be a place of peace, support, and unity. Yet the reality is that countless households face ongoing challenges. Arguments, relationship breakdowns, and emotional struggles can place enormous pressure on family life. From a spiritual perspective, these difficulties are often seen as attacks designed to weaken the family unit.

The 26th June marks the final Friday of the first half of the year. As one semester comes to an end and another begins, it presents an opportunity to seek God’s protection, guidance, and blessing for the months ahead.

To mark this important moment, all the Universal Churches across the UK will hold a special Prayer for the Protection of the Family.

The purpose is to come together in faith and seek God’s protection over every home. Whether you are praying for your marriage, children, parents, siblings, or relatives, this meeting will be an opportunity to place your loved ones before God and trust Him with their future.

How to take part:

  1. Write Down the Names of Your Family Members

Prepare a list containing the names of those you would like to pray for. This can include immediate and extended family members.

  1. Present the Names at the Altar

Bring the list with you to the service and there will be a moment to place it at the Altar, where the names will be presented in prayer as part of the blessing and anointing for family protection.

  1. Exercise Your Faith

Take this opportunity to pray with determination and confidence on behalf of your family. Ask God for His guidance, protection, and provision throughout the second half of the year.

Every family faces challenges, but faith can provide strength during difficult times. As one chapter of the year closes and another begins, take this opportunity to seek God’s protection for those who matter most.
