Love Walk 2025 Returns To London – Encouraging Real Conversations In A Fast-Paced World

News 1

On 30 August 2025, hundreds of couples and singles from across London are expected to take part in Love Walk 2025, a free public event designed to strengthen relationships through meaningful, offline conversation. Organised by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG), the walk will take place from 1pm to 5pm at Kennington Park, South London.

Having started in 2013 and now in its twelfth year, the Love Walk encourages couples to pause from digital distractions and talk face-to-face using guided questions provided to all attendees by the UCKG. Whether you’re single, dating, engaged or married, the event offers space to reflect, reconnect and explore what really matters in a relationship.

Entry is free and open to all. While Love Walk t-shirts will be available to purchase from UCKG bookshops, participants are not required to wear them to take part.

Bishop James Marques of UCKG said:

“The Love Walk is about investment – not in gifts or grand gestures – but in honest conversation. In a society where communication is often reduced to swipes and emojis, this event invites people to listen, speak and truly connect.”

The day will also feature live performances from UCKG’s Victory Youth Group (VYG) and testimonies from couples who met or deepened their bond through previous Love Walks.

One such story is that of Troy and Taynika Swann, who first met during the event:

Untitled 1“At the time, a few of my friends and I decided to attend the Love Walk in London. She was there too, with her friends from the Nottingham branch, but we didn’t know each other at all.

“When we arrived, my friends and I agreed to split up so we could each do the Walk on our own. That’s when I happened to bump into her.

“I approached her and asked if she’d like to do the Love Walk with me. She said yes –and from that moment, everything flowed naturally. We spent the Walk talking, getting to know each other, and by the end, we exchanged contacts.

After that day, we stayed in touch, started dating – and now, we’re happily married.”lw 1

Others, like Dami and Venice Alaran, use the day as a yearly check-in after eight years of marriage.

Love Walk 2025 forms part of UCKG’s broader mission to support families, promote emotional wellbeing, and tackle issues like relationship breakdown – highlighted in its Faith and the Future report, where over 30% of the UK public said faith-based organisations have a vital role to play in supporting family life and mental health.
