‘At first, my health was absolutely fine up until I felt an excruciating pain across the left side of my stomach and started passing blood. I was soon rushed to the hospital in an ambulance; I had some checks done, but I wasn’t diagnosed. Not long after, I was discharged; however, a terrible pain remained on the left side of my stomach. There would be times when the pain was so unbearable that I could not get out of bed; I literally had to roll myself off the bed.

I was constantly in and out of the hospital until I was finally diagnosed with a blockage in my kidney. This prevented me from eating certain types of food, I could not perform any strenuous activity, and at times, I was even forced to take time off work. For five years, I kept going back to the hospital but two years ago, I was informed that the blockage could in fact be a lump. That’s when I decided to go for a test in a private kidney clinic, which showed that my kidneys were not functioning properly.

I’ve been a member of the Universal Church for many years and have seen great things happening in my life through the power of faith. I’d seen a complete restoration in my family, so I knew that my faith in God would also help me through this tough moment. We were invited to bring a bottle of water with us to the meetings for it to be blessed, and this is exactly what I did. It gave me inner confidence, and I kept believing that my health would get better.

I also continued going for check-ups. Gradually, I realised that I was feeling different and that the pain was no longer there. I went for another scan, and my kidneys were both functioning at a normal capacity with no blockages.

I am now healthy, I am able to eat normally as before, and I can run and be active. I couldn’t be happier! I believe my faith in God definitely helped me through this tough period.’
