How to Be Strong and Never Give Up

Be strong and never give up

You may be asking yourself: “I try so hard and see so little result. What is happening?” Perhaps you feel discouraged and lack the strength to continue. If you find yourself in this situation, consider the biblical text from Galatians 4:13:

“You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first”.

In this passage, the apostle Paul refers to the fact that he fell ill whilst journeying to Galatia to preach the Gospel. Some historians suggest he contracted malaria, which was common in that region. Paul not only preached the Gospel while unwell; he also did so while imprisoned.

In other words, he continued to spread the message while facing persecution, slander, and misunderstanding from his fellow brothers and disciples. He endured rejection, injustice, and misunderstanding. So, the question is: why are you thinking of giving in?

A true winner doesn’t give up and refuses to stay down. They may be knocked down or face numerous challenges, but they get back up and prepare for the next round.

Paul was abandoned by some disciples who couldn’t cope with the challenges. But didn’t they have the Holy Spirit? They probably did, but the Spirit of God is subject to the spirit of man. If a person’s spirit is weak, slow, or soft, the Holy Spirit can be hindered, as God respects our individual choices.

If you want to succeed, take a lesson from Paul: “I die daily” (1 Corinthians 15:31). He meant that he sacrificed his ego and desires for the sake of his mission. If he had that strength, so do we!

This strength isn’t about physical prowess; it’s about the decision to choose to be strong. Only those who overcome pain, complaints, fatigue, and adversaries through faith will be saved and reach Heaven.
