How is Your Relationship with the Altar?

Do you remember the first ever time you entered the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God? I’m sure you do. And I’m also pretty sure that the very first thing you noticed when you took part in a service was the ALTAR.

We saw the pastor on the altar, and as he delivered the word of God with conviction and faith, we learned that this was not just any place, but the place from where God brings guidance to our lives. We considered it a privilege to even be allowed to go on the altar to pray, and from sacrifice to sacrifice on this holy place, we saw that nothing was impossible for us.

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Revelation 22:1

The altar is a representation of the place from where the direction of God flows and above all, where His Spirit is present. Why? Because whenever there is a perfect sacrifice on the altar, there is also the Spirit of God.

The Lord Jesus was the perfect sacrifice on the natural altar of Golgotha, and it was after this, that the Holy Spirit was released upon the lives of all those who develop this same relationship with the altar – one of complete and total surrender.

The question is: How is your relationship with the altar?

There is no doubt that for those who embrace the altar and the sacrifice that it asks for, they will also receive the pure water of the river of life.
