Our families are a precious gift from God, yet we cannot always keep them from harm. Tragedies can happen unexpectedly, Take the tragic story of Michelle Sadio. On Saturday, 14 December, Michelle, a 46-year-old mother and wife, was shot while leaving a funeral wake at a church in Willesden Green, North West London. Witnesses say she was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Her grieving husband expressed his devastation: “I am in shock. How could this happen? No-one has any respect for life anymore. I had to tell my children this tragedy has taken their mother away.”
Sadly, events like this remind us how much is beyond our control. But there is hope. True protection for our families can come only from God.
