From Humiliation to Triumph: Confronting Your Giants Through Faith

Triump

Are you facing challenges in your finances? Perhaps you work hard and give your best efforts in everything you do without any expected results. Clients are scarce, or setbacks arise derailing promising plans and leaving you feeling stuck. As time passes, the problems seem to grow while your enthusiasm fades, leading you to question whether your efforts are truly worth it.

In many cases, it reaches the point where those around you who know you are a Christian might look at your situation and ask, “Where is your God?” The Bible recounts similar moments where faith transformed outrage and insults into powerful testimonies of God’s greatness, just like the story of David.

“And the Philistine said, “I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together. When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid. (…) Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” (1 Samuel 17:10-11; 26)

Everyone in Israel was frightened by the giant Goliath, from King Saul to the common people. Every day, Goliath humiliated the army of Israel with his taunts. While everyone else listened in fear, David refused to accept the insults and viewed the situation as a challenge to the God of Israel. It was David’s courageous attitude that allowed God to help him win that battle, making a significant impact not only in David’s life but also in the history of Israel.

How have you responded to your problems? Perhaps there are ‘giants’ in your life that are bringing shame and taking away your peace. It’s time to act! Stand up against these challenges and join forces with the Almighty to overcome them. No matter how difficult your situation may seem, do not give up!

Write down your humiliating situation on a piece of paper and bring it to your nearest Universal Church this Monday, 10 March. We will unite in prayer to turn this humiliation into victory that glorifies the Name of God. We will also partake in the Lord’s Supper – for the first time in the Prosperity with God meeting. Don’t miss it!
