Life can change unexpectedly. One moment, everything may seem under control, and the next, an unexpected situation can bring worry, uncertainty or fear about what lies ahead.
For many people, these concerns are not always visible to others. They may be carrying worries about their health, family, finances, relationships or the future, while searching for peace, strength and reassurance.
There are times when the situations people face can feel like darkness surrounding their lives. Problems may become overwhelming, hope can begin to fade and they may struggle to see a way forward, as though there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
But faith teaches us that even in the darkest moments, we can turn to God. He is able to bring light into situations that seem impossible, provide strength when we feel weak, direction when we feel lost, peace when life feels uncertain and protection through every challenge we encounter.
The Bible reminds us of God’s constant care: “You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.” (Psalm 139:5)
This verse highlights that God is aware of every detail of our lives. His presence surrounds those who place their trust in Him, reminding us that we are not alone and that His power can bring change, freedom and deliverance.
This is the purpose of the Point of Light Chain of Prayer — to seek God’s intervention in people’s lives, to bring light where there is darkness and believing for freedom from the situations that have held them back.
With this in mind, we will continue our Chain of Prayer this Friday 14th August in all Universal Churches across the UK.
If you have been attending, continue to persevere. You may already be seeing results, or your answer may still be on its way. Keep trusting God and remain committed. If you will be joining for the first time, it is not too late to take part.
Visit your nearest Universal Church, you may not be able to choose every situation you face, but you can choose how you respond. Will you allow fear to define you, or will faith lead you?
