“…All things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23)
This is one of Jesus’s most profound and motivating thoughts. It says so much in just a few words, opening doors to imagination and uplifting those feeling discouraged. This verse emphasises that everything we want depends only on us and the faith we have, and not on anyone else.
The problem is that we often compare ourselves to others, striving to be better or at least as good as we believe they are. This leads us to evaluate our performance based on those around us. However, this is a flawed way of thinking, because our true competition lies within ourselves. We are the ones we should try to overcome day after day.
How many people have defeated strong enemies or opponents, only to succumb to themselves later? The famous American boxer Mike Tyson won every title a boxer could have. His opponents were knocked out one by one in the ring, sometimes in just a few seconds. Yet, outside the ring, he struggled to overcome himself. He went through multiple divorces, was convicted of assaults and other serious charges, and was enslaved by addictions.
Many of us mistakenly believe that achieving success involves defeating outside adversaries. However, what we accomplish in the external world is ultimately determined by what we have within us: our faith, which makes everything possible. By tapping into this power that already lies within you, everything can become possible in your life.
Every Sunday, we have a service dedicated to helping you nurture and learn how to use the power of faith. With prayers for various areas of life and empowering messages from the Word of God, you will learn valuable tools to put this faith into practice in a way that can bring tangible results.
