Um Ingrediente Fundamental

Keep trying
According to the Oxford Dictionary, determination is “the quality that drives you to keep trying to do something, even when it is difficult.”

This characteristic is a fundamental ingredient for us to achieve something extraordinary. That’s what Chris Nikic accomplished when he became the “first person with Down Syndrome to become an official Iron Man.” *

The 21-year-old from Florida recently swam 2.4 miles, cycled 112 miles and ran 26.2 miles, completing the “Iron Man Run” in 16 hours, 46 minutes and 9 seconds.

“It’s a great feeling to be the first person with Down Syndrome to participate” said Nick before the event. “I can prove to the kids that if I can do it, so can they.”

You can achieve amazing things if you’re determined what you’re capable of, and ready to do whatever it takes to make it happen. You may have had the worst upbringing, some disability, or some other kind of disadvantage, but none of that matters if you’re determined.

Determination is what allows you to make your dreams come true. It pushes you forward when discouragement tries to be a stumbling block in your path, and it allows you to stay focused even when it seems like nothing is happening.

Believe in yourself and your goal, because at Universal Church, we believe in you! Participate in our online meetings through our YouTube and Facebook channels and allow the messages to help you develop the necessary determination to achieve what you have not achieved yet.
