Israeli anti-missile systems have worked, but there are already dead in the country

Islamic Palestinians have already fired 1,600 projectiles at Israel, many of which were intercepted by Israel’s anti-missile system called the “Iron Dome”. At least 200 of them were launched, but they landed in the Gaza Strip itself, where the terrorists are based.

The bombings began on Monday, May 10, when “Jerusalem Day” is celebrated, the date that marks the Israeli conquest of the eastern part of the city in 1967. Two Islamic groups – Hamas and Jihad Islamic – took over the attacks.

At least 7 people have died in Israel so far as a result of the attacks, one of whom was a minor. Hundreds were injured.

Israel responded to the attacks and the country’s army claims to have killed at least twenty militiamen.

In addition to air strikes from the Gaza Strip, Israeli authorities also have to deal with violent riots in cities where Arabs and Israelis live. The exact number of deaths in these conflicts is still unknown, as the calculation is quite complicated in the area. Israeli police say they have already arrested 270 people involved in the riots.

The attacks and protests continue. At least 83 people have died in the Gaza Strip itself. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was working for the good of the people of Israel. The Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, is in the West Bank. He spoke with the head of US diplomacy, Antony Blinken, to ask for help in ending “the Israeli attacks”.

The UN and the United States are working to restore order in the region.
