VDAY of Vision
VDAY is the annual Victory Youth Group (VYG) celebration where the VYG gather together to celebrate victories from over the past year. This year’s VDAY was highly anticipated, and after 2 years of the pandemic it returned with a bang!

On Saturday 12th February the VYG had the opportunity to be part of a spectacularly organised event. 5 song performances, an incredible dance, a nerve hitting spoken word performance and a nail-biting drama, these acts set the scene for the event.

There were also powerful life transformation testimonies from individuals who had seen the power of God in their lives. The day revolved around attendees truly understanding how the vision of God could transpire in their own lives.

The youths invited their guests to witness victories from over the past year. Showing them the things that could happen in their lives too. Bishop James was present at the event, where he made a prayer for all and emphasised the importance of having a vision for every area of your life, according to the word of God.

One of the organisers and participants of the event Ronica said “It exceeded expectations because it was less about the hype. “Oh, what will I wear? Who will perform…? It was more about getting young people to understand that life is much more than this, than the physical. I left thinking about the endless possibilities that God can present in my life.”

This vision came through in everything, through the details of the decorations to the messages and words of faith shared throughout the event. That is what made this VDAY special, it gave members of the VYG a chance to appreciate the work that God has done in their life, whilst celebrating their achievements.

Another organiser and participant Bruna said, “the event was in all brilliant. It was amazing seeing everyone come back together for VDAY after two years to celebrate all that we have overcome. The performances were an amazing touch. VDAY 2022 was not only about celebrating what was achieved but learning what Gods true vision for us is.”
