Liz Truss has been announced as the UK’s next prime minister, after winning the Conservative Party leadership.
She was chosen by a vote among party members, who make up less than 1% of the UK population.
Ms Truss has promised to “act immediately” to help with energy costs.
She also plans to deliver £30bn in tax cuts through an emergency budget later this month.
With the new change of Prime Minister comes new plans for the country, the Word of God says:
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior…” (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
Paul encouraged Timothy to pray for authorises and governmental bodies, as Christians we take this upon ourselves to do just that for our country.
