What is the story of your life? Has it been full of problems, pain, loss, failures, emptiness, frustration, or disappointments and feel you are constantly being handed the cup of suffering?
Do you need to re-write your story?
This Friday 1st April in all of our Universal Church everyone will receive an empty cup, you will write down your current story. Jesus’ death on the cross marked the end of a life of suffering and oppression and the beginning of a new story for all those who accept.
We are inviting you to exchange this cup of suffering for a new cup, which is the cup of salvation. This new cup represents leaving your old life behind and beginning a brand-new life. It’s a trade, your cup, for His cup. You will sacrifice your life for the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus.
What is the requirement?
God is not looking for those who think they are perfect or righteous, He is looking for those who are sincere, who believe in Him and are looking for an opportunity to change their life and no matter what difficulties they have faced, God is looking for those who admit they are a sinner and require His mercy and acceptance.
In Psalms 116:10, 13 it says:
“I believed, therefore I spoke, “I am greatly afflicted.” […] “I will take up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.”
Faith is the requirement to exchange your cup. All it takes is for you to believe.
This is why, on 15th April at 3pm, at our ‘It Is Finished’ event you will have the opportunity to take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord, in order to re-write your story.
The Psalmist did not speak because he was perfect or respectable, but he spoke because he believed.
