Spiritual Wings

Why is it so hard for many to be a Christian, obey the rules of a Christian lifestyle and practise what the Lord Jesus taught?

It’s as if a caterpillar wanted to fly. It’s difficult for a caterpillar to fly. It’s simply impossible for this to happen. Someone could throw the caterpillar up into the air, but it would just fall right back down. But when a caterpillar enters the cocoon, it stays there for some time to change, and then no one will have to throw it up into the air. The same creature that dragged itself on the ground can now fly on its own.

With its new form, the ex-caterpillar, which is now a butterfly, brings joy wherever it goes. Actually, they bring life and make gardens even more beautiful, and many are happy to have them around. The same happens with us. Every day the Lord “throws people up into the air” with words of faith, with uplifting messages through the radio, TV, Internet, etc, yet many have not been able to fly on their own. The Fast of Daniel was an opportunity for everyone who is in the presence of God. May each person be made new through the Holy Spirit.

May they receive “spiritual wings”, so they may be able to fly on their own. They will be new men and women, they will turn the other cheek, give their cloak also, go the extra mile, repay evil with good, be the light of the world, be the salt of the earth… And because of their new nature, a Christian life will be for them what it is for us who are baptised with the Holy Spirit.

It’ll be natural for them to forgive, overlook any offences, always tell the truth, be faithful to God, have a humble heart, invigorated faith, love their neighbour, serve everyone, and become soul winners. May you stop dragging yourself and come fly with us after this Fast of Daniel!

God bless you greatly!

As I read this message everything was sinking in the similarities between someone who is baptised in the Holy Spirit and the caterpillar becoming a butterfly. As a caterpillar go through a process we also go through a process before getting baptised in the Holy Spirit , the process of the new birth and , for the caterpillar it is to be in the cocoon until he become a butterfly . The process is as painful to the caterpillar as well as to the human being . As the end result is for the caterpillar is beauty when we have the Holy Spirit the end result is inner beauty.

Changing your self allows you to have a fresh start. A start to make it all over and do it all again, doing things in the way which becomes natural to you. It's not something that is over looked. Doing the things of God becomes part of your daily routine. It brings you joy. You find peac doing those things.

there is a moulding stage and even at times as a butterfly we are still being moulded into even a much beautiful butterfly, where everyone stares at the butterfly because the caterpillar no longer exists. its un resistible to look at or be close too. many people also are being satisfied with the caterpillar because its comfy and probably afraid to fly. so they stay in the lifestyle that there in as its all that they know that's what I did. thanks Bishop

Without the Holy Spirit we can do nothing! It is that piece of God in us that enables us to have those similarities and experience the changes we desire. just as the caterpillar changes overtime, with the watering of the Word upon our lives, our transformation from the old to the new will occur.
