“Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?” When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him” (John 6.60-64)

Man tends to run away from God and His Truth. In the Bible, we have the examples of two well-known characters, Adam and Jonah.

Adam was the first in everything – creation, sin and running away from God.

“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.” (Genesis 3.8)

Jonah tried to run away from God. He thought God was in Joppa, where He had spoken to him, so he was determined to run away to Tarshish, where he believed God wouldn’t be. But God was in Nineveh, in Tarshish, in the ship, on the seabed, in the large and small fish, etc.

God is Omnipresent (He is present everywhere at the same time).

If Jonah were to take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, the hand of the Lord would reach him. If he were to ascend into heaven, there God would find him. Even if he made his bed in the darkest and deepest pit, still, the Light of God would reach him, as is written in Psalm 139.

The reason why people run away from God is because He is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH!

What is absolute truth? The absolute truth is a truth that remains true at all times and in all places. It is true for one person, and it is also true for all other people. Example: The fact that everyone needs air to breathe is an ABSOLUTE TRUTH!

In the case of the disciples, they ran away from the TEACHINGS of Jesus. These lessons are wonderful because they are the revelation of Good Tidings, or Good News, which refer to promises of blessings, for those who act their faith upon them.

The messages bring forth the wonders of God, the signs, which are necessary for the unbelieving world to be drawn to God.

However, the ministry of Jesus was always supported on a tripod: Preaching, Divine Signs and Teachings.

In March, Bishop Macedo began a meeting of teachings, and I am absolutely sure that meeting has helped hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world.

But, at one point, the Holy Spirit used him to say, “If you do not agree with what is being taught, you do NOT need to come next week, because this meeting is NOT for you!”

This was very strong! At that moment, I remembered this passage, where the disciples “ran away” from the Teachings, from the revelation of the ABSOLUTE TRUTH, of God.

In John 8:32, we read: “And you shall know the TRUTH, and the TRUTH shall make you free!”

Without ITS knowledge, even if a person stops manifesting with demons, he will never be free, because he won’t be able to establish it!

The Teachings of TRUTH and ITS acceptance produce people who are defined in the faith, whose lives are for 24 hours, every day of their lives, on the ALTAR. Of course, this happens with those who accept the TRUTH and become the very TRUTH.

As Bishop Macedo said on that Sunday, Jesus also spoke to His disciples, encouraging them to be definite in the faith once and for all:  “From that time (teaching), many of His disciples went back (ran away) and walked with Him no more. Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?” (John 6.66-67)

Those who do not want to turn away from unrighteousness, lies and sin end up running away from the TRUTH. They, too, do not like the Teachings!

Dear reader, the Teachings, besides “speeding up” God’s entire process in our lives, also establish all of our achievements of faith.

Think about this!

God bless you!

It's true that most so born again do not known the truth yet and that's why most of them are still livingt in a life full of lies and sin which ends up to death. But through this, I have realised that in order to get closer to God I should have to feel myself with the truths from the word of God put into practise whatever I have learnt.
