\nDiscover the story of Cameron Arnett, who preferred to give up cinema rather than abandon his values<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What would you choose: to be <\/span><\/span>a big Hollywood star<\/span><\/span><\/a> or to stand firm in the Christian faith? <\/span>For many actors, one of the options necessarily eliminates the other. <\/span>And that’s what happened to Cameron Arnett.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Arnett excelled in theater and television shows. <\/span>He has participated in internationally renowned programs such as \u201cStar Trek: The Next Generation\u201d and \u201cMiami Vice\u201d. <\/span>He soon gained space in theaters and his Hollywood career took off when he faced something that conflicted with his faith.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHollywood told me that because I was an actor, I would need to film partial nudity,\u201d he said in an interview streamed on Facebook. <\/span>\u201cI had to choose between my career and Christ. <\/span>And I chose Christ. <\/span>But when I did that, I lost everything.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The case came after Arnett passed a difficult casting test. <\/span>When signing the contract, he was informed about the need to do nude scenes. <\/span>He said he wouldn’t because he was a Christian. <\/span>They then suggested that a stunt double be used.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt that moment I felt God telling me: people are going to keep thinking that there is you\u201d,<\/span><\/span><\/em> he said.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Arnett refused to sign the contract on those terms. <\/span>And the consequences for his movie career were enormous.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe world collapsed. <\/span>I lost everything. <\/span>Entrepreneurs abandoned me. <\/span>Everyone abandoned me. <\/span>Friends abandoned me. <\/span>I was left behind by the world and everything I had.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

After the choice<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/strong>
\n After that moment, Arnett realized that Hollywood was not his place. <\/span>He focused his career on theater as an actor and producer and became respected in the field.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many years later, his wife convinced him to return to films. <\/span>But, this option was taken with the awareness that Arnett would only work on works that had a connection with his faith.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNow I have the opportunity to be myself anywhere and not compromise my values. <\/span>I’m a Christian, first. <\/span>I not an actor. <\/span>And I’m not a pastor. <\/span>I am a child of God, a <\/span><\/span>servant of God<\/span><\/span><\/a> . <\/span>That’s my claim to fame,\u201d he states.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Arnett’s successful and respectable career only proves that God never abandons those who entrust their lives to Him.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How does one who has the Spirit of God act<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Holy Word brings the following passage: <\/span><\/span>
\n\u201cMy son, if sinners try to attract you with pleasures, do not accept it.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong>Proverbs 1.10<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This advice fits with what Arnett lived through. <\/span>He could have given what the film industry asked for. <\/span>After all, he was young and on the rise and almost every other actor was doing the same. <\/span>Why give up <\/span><\/span>a promising career<\/span><\/span><\/a> ?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But whoever follows the <\/span><\/span>Word of God<\/span><\/span><\/a> does not give himself to the world:<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/strong>
\n This is one of the signs that a person has or does not have the <\/span><\/span>Spirit of God<\/span><\/span><\/a> within him. <\/span>When a person has the Spirit of God, his values \u200b\u200band principles are non-negotiable. <\/span>It doesn’t matter your circumstance, your momentary situation. <\/span>She won’t lower your standards, she won’t compromise your values.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This, regardless of whether it’s in Hollywood or in everyday life, because, in any situation, those who obey God know that they don’t need to corrupt themselves <\/span><\/span>to reach a goal<\/span><\/span><\/a> . <\/span>The person trusts that God will take care of his future.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A person who has the Spirit of God has a differential: he depends on Him. <\/span>Her life is in His hands. <\/span>She <\/span><\/span>trusts God<\/span><\/span><\/a> regarding her destiny. <\/span>What will happen to her tomorrow. <\/span>She has that faith. <\/span>So she is prepared for what would apparently be a loss.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That’s because \u201cshe prefers her peace, when she lays her head on the pillow, her good conscience, than taking advantage of this or that and keeping her conscience bad. <\/span>So whoever has the Spirit of God remains incorruptible.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And, as the Bible says: <\/span><\/span>
\n\u201cHe who is begotten of God keeps himself, and the evil one does not touch him\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong> . <\/span>1 John 5:18<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That is: God protects those who surrender to Him.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor Christians, salvation, inner peace, communion with God are their greatest assets. <\/span>They are his greatest assets. <\/span>And this she does not sell, does not exchange, does not negotiate, does not lend\u201d, concludes Bishop Renato Cardoso.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
