What Christian wouldn’t want bold faith and the courage to perform spectacular miracles? <\/span>Like Moses who parted the Red Sea or Joshua who made the sun stand still? <\/span>But this is not what we see today. <\/span>Sadly, most Christians are timid, weak, and indifferent to problems and challenges. <\/span>How to change it?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Let’s use the example of Elijah: the prophet went to the king of Israel at the time, Ahab, to say that it would not rain in the following years. <\/span>He was sent by God, because the people had corrupted themselves spiritually, becoming idolaters.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The result was that the <\/span><\/span>Lord’s Altar<\/span><\/span><\/a> was abandoned and everyone started to worship Baal, who they believed to be the god of fertility. <\/span>Living on agriculture, the Hebrews easily accepted the idea. <\/span>After all, everyone wanted to be on good terms with the divinity that made the land fertile.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This situation filled Elijah with revolt, making him challenge Baal’s power for the people to realize their mistake. <\/span>But how could he have so much faith and determination in order to interfere with nature and stop it from raining? <\/span>Where did this boldness come from?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The secret is in this passage from the Bible:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201c\u2026as the LORD God<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a> of Israel lives, before whom I stand\u2026\u201d (<\/span><\/span><\/em>1 Kings 17:1)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n To stand before the face of God is to walk in obedience to His Word. <\/span>The person who disobeys or is in sin usually wants distance from Him, as happened to Adam and Eve. <\/span>They were visited by God daily, but when they disobeyed, they hid.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen you’re right with God, you can get on top of problems. <\/span>However, when there is ‘notary’s fault’, doubt grows. <\/span>Faith depends on you taking care of your communion with God, sacrificing your will daily. <\/span>It is a high price to pay, but one that will make you strong and capable of determining, challenging, showing the <\/span><\/span>power of God<\/span><\/span><\/a> in your life\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nunshakable certainty<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n
