After 69 years of marriage, on April 27th, the couple Isaac \u2013 meat distributor, 91 years old \u2013 and Teresa Vatkin \u2013 housewife, 89 years old (pictured right) \u2013 <\/span><\/span>passed<\/span><\/span><\/strong> away, with a difference of 40 minutes between the death of one and the other. <\/span>He had Alzheimer’s. <\/span>The cause of Teresa’s death has not been revealed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To a newspaper in the United States, where the couple lived, relatives said they felt better knowing that they stayed side by side until the end. <\/span>Isaac and his wife were also buried together.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Days before, employees of the hospital unit where they were hospitalized noticed the increase in breathing difficulties in both. <\/span>As the couple were in separate rooms, they decided to relocate them, putting them in the same room, side by side. <\/span>After moving, at the request of family members, the two were placed hand in hand. <\/span>In a short time they did not resist and died.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A relationship that has survived for decades, just like Isaac and Tereza’s, is what many people are looking for. <\/span>But this goes beyond just wanting.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In her official blog, <\/span><\/span>writer Cristiane Cardoso<\/span><\/span><\/a> explains that one of the first things that God created, right after the creation of man and woman, was marriage. <\/span>\u201cHe knew that in order for both of them to learn to have a relationship with Him, they needed to learn about the marriage relationship first,\u201d she says.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

However, just as humans <\/span><\/span>have moved away from God<\/span><\/span><\/a> , love relationships have also been increasingly temporary. <\/span>\u201cPeople even want to be happy in love. <\/span>Some seek to do everything right, but unfortunately, not knowing what a relationship really means in their lives, they end up living from relationship to relationship.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sacrifices for life<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cristiane points out that, for the sake of life together, we often need to sacrifice <\/span><\/span>our own will<\/span><\/span><\/a> to make a relationship work. <\/span>If you are not willing to let go, then you are not willing to relate to anyone.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also, another fact that needs to be considered is that no relationship can survive without trust. <\/span>She is needed at all times, <\/span><\/span>regardless of the circumstances<\/span><\/span><\/a> .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another tip from the writer is to respect your partner. <\/span>\u201cIt means recognizing the space and importance of the other in your life and within the relationship. <\/span>You have to respect your spouse despite differences of opinion. <\/span>Each needs the other’s skills to grow as a person and be successful in every way.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And that’s not enough. <\/span>Despite many efforts, there is another issue that can determine a lasting relationship: two people will only remain united if they have the same goal in life.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
