Indian Man Kaur has just received the 17th gold medal of her track and field career. <\/span>The conquest took place in Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, during the 100 meter freestyle competition. <\/span>Kaur covered the course in 1.14 minutes, 64 seconds more than the current race record holder, Jamaican Usain Bolt.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Taking <\/span>home a <\/span><\/span>gold medal would be a source of pride for any competitor, but for Kaur it’s even more special. <\/span><\/span><\/a>That’s because the contestant is 101 years old. <\/span>The victory was won during the <\/span><\/span>World Master Games<\/span><\/span><\/em> , a kind of Olympics for those over 35 years old. <\/span>In this tournament, competitors are divided by age group and sport.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Late start<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Man Kaur had never played any sport until he was 93 years old. <\/span>At this time, her son, Gurdev Singh, advised her to take up athletics as a means of improving her heart health. <\/span>Her physical activity was so successful that, 8 years later, she is being called \u201cThe miracle of Chandigarh\u201d (the city where she was born).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is true that, in the most recent medal won, Man Kaur had no opponents. <\/span>The Indian only ran against herself, but completing the race was a demonstration of the excellent health of the woman with more than 1 century of life.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWinning makes her happy. <\/span>She likes to come back to India and show off the medals she has won,\u201d Singh revealed to the press.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs long as there is life, I will continue to run. <\/span>I won’t stop,\u201d says Kaur.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Everybody can<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

More than Man Kaur’s good physical condition, the 17 medals won prove that when someone believes and <\/span><\/span>is dedicated to achieving a goal<\/span><\/span><\/a> , that someone will succeed. <\/span>Even if people say it is impossible, or if the person himself judges the goal unattainable, he can do it. <\/span>Just have faith.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This is what the Bible teaches in Luke 18.27, when reproducing the following words of the Lord Jesus: <\/span><\/span>\u201cThe things that are impossible with men are possible with God.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

This means that believing is the necessary tool to overcome any obstacle. <\/span>Having faith, the person will fight until he overcomes the barriers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn our life, in our day to day life, it works exactly like this\u201d, says Bishop Edson Costa. <\/span>According to him, when a person gives his all, God creates extraordinary situations to bring into his hands what he alone could not acquire.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kaur’s achievements, for example, are extraordinary and would not happen if she didn’t believe and dedicate herself 100%. <\/span>As well <\/span><\/span>as the victory of Frenchman Robert Marchand, who, at 105 years old, broke the world cycling record<\/span><\/span><\/a> in the category over 100 years old.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd what is giving your all? <\/span>It’s you not doing the thing for the sake of doing it. <\/span>It’s not you to make a soft body. <\/span>If you’re given a mission, it’s to embrace it and give it your all. <\/span>Be it as an employee, be it as a team leader, be it as a boss, be it as a father, as a mother, as a son, as an instructor. <\/span>Whatever it may be,\u201d explains Bishop Edson. <\/span>\u201cLearn this principle. <\/span>Apply this principle in your life, in your finances, in your marriage. <\/span>In all <\/span><\/span>areas of your life<\/span><\/span><\/a> , you will certainly become an above average person.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
