In Russia, an online game that promised to turn a child into a \u201cfire fairy\u201d claimed some victims. <\/span>The game guided the child to follow its instructions: turn on the stove at midnight, but without lighting the fire, and go to sleep. <\/span>So she would breathe the “magic gas” and, when she woke up, she would be a fairy. <\/span>5-year-old Sofia Ezhova obeyed the rules and was seriously injured. <\/span>Authorities are looking for those responsible for the game and the intent behind it: terror, infanticide? <\/span>It is not yet known.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another fatal prank, which is linked to 130 suicides in Russia and which targets teenagers, is the so-called \u201cBlue Whale\u201d. <\/span>The game, also online, takes participants to complete daily tasks for 50 days, such as cutting themselves, watching horror movies, going without sleep and, at the end of it all, committing suicide. <\/span>If the participant escapes the brainwashing, he continues in the game. <\/span>Several of them did not escape, according to information from <\/span><\/span>The Sun<\/span><\/span><\/em> newspaper .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While the risks are great, they can be avoided with a few precautions:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– Always check your computer’s history to see what kind of websites your child visits and be aware of any changes in behavior.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– But, above all, have a good relationship with him and open dialogue, to teach him to <\/span><\/span>identify situations that may be a risk<\/span><\/span><\/a> .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– Don’t fight unnecessarily, but understand his world and show that he can count on you. <\/span>Thus, if your child encounters a problem or an undue offer, they will look to you for help.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
