Dwayne Johnson has just been announced as the protagonist of one of the main productions of DC Comics, producer of superhero films and responsible, for example, for the Batman and Superman franchises. <\/span>The actor will give life to the villain Adam Negro, one of the greatest characters in the history of the brand.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dwayne Johnson was a promising <\/span><\/span>football player<\/span><\/span><\/a> in his youth. <\/span>At the age of 19, he won the national championship with his team, <\/span><\/span>the Miami Hurricanes<\/span><\/span><\/em> , but was forced to temporarily take a break from the sport because of an injury. <\/span>The following year he was hired by a Canadian team, however, without the performance of the previous year, he was fired.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAll the dreams I had are gone. <\/span>There would be no more football. <\/span>It was my worst moment,\u201d Johnson said in an interview with the <\/span><\/span>Hollywood Reporter<\/span><\/span><\/em> website . <\/span>\u201cI didn’t want to do anything. <\/span>I didn’t want to go anywhere. <\/span>I was crying constantly. <\/span>There comes a time when you just cry.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This depression lasted approximately 1 month, enough time to despair the star’s family. <\/span>He was a young man who dedicated his whole life to football and, suddenly, he saw his goals destroyed. <\/span>He remained inside the apartment he lived in <\/span><\/span>all this time<\/span><\/span><\/a> , practically immobile, with no expectations of a better future.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The situation lasted until the boy realized that he could rely on something bigger than himself.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“I have found that in depression one of the most important things to realize is that you are not alone,” he said in a video for <\/span><\/span>Oprah’s Master Class<\/span><\/span><\/em> . <\/span>\u201cYou just feel like you’re alone. <\/span>And you feel like it’s just you and you’re in your bubble.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To get out of this bubble of hurt, the actor had an unexpected help, which was revealed to him at that moment and accompanies him until today: faith.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou just have to remember: hold on to the <\/span><\/span>fundamental quality of faith<\/span><\/span><\/a> . <\/span>Have faith. <\/span>And on the other side of your pain is something good.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson was even asked to return to the football team, but declined the invitation because he felt more willing to practice wrestling. <\/span>By the end of the 1990s, he was considered one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport, earning him the nickname \u201cThe Rock\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the early 2000s, he accepted invitations from Hollywood and starred in \u201cThe Mummy Returns\u201d and \u201cThe Scorpion King\u201d. <\/span>Today he is one of the most successful actors in the world.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
