The Liberty Event was hosted by our church in the City of Manchester. It was a fun-filled, productive day to showcase our community-based groups to the public who were pleasantly surprised with all the support we offer.
The atmosphere was buzzing on the day with the Victory Youth Group (VYG) singing, Zumba classes, free pampering sessions, and the Soup Kitchen was open that offered not only cooked food but smoothies, food parcels, and kid’s lunch boxes for families.
Our local police officers from the city centre whom are aware of our community contributions were present on the day, surprised and grateful for the work that is put in for the youths of Manchester through the VYG.
The turnout was a success!
“The attendees were very grateful for the blood pressure checks followed by advice from the registered nurses, we had an individual that never had their blood pressure checked. We had a lady that cried with emotion as she said that she does not remember the last time she was able to be pampered, having her nails done.” Simone Mabiala volunteer coordinator
The Liberty Event was a day for us as a community to unite together and help our community by creating awareness of our charity services.
Overall it was a great event! We look forward to making a positive impact on our communities through our Liberty Events.
