Is it really no pain, no gain?

No pain no gainChildbirth is a significant event in a woman’s life. When a woman is in the final stages of labour, she will start to experience regular contractions causing her to be in pain. However, this is an indication that the baby is on its way. Nearer to the time of birth the contractions will increase in intensity, become more frequent and the breaking of waters might even take place, showing signs that it is time to give birth. Undoubtedly, for first-time mothers, the whole experience can be unpredictable, overwhelming, extremely painful and tiring. On the other hand, when the baby arrives the feeling of relief and great joy then outweighs everything that just took place.

In life, we all go through periods of pain whether it be the pain of betrayal, rejection or loss of a loved one etc. During these moments, it can appear to be unbearable. However, just like childbirth, the pain is temporary, when you learn how to use your faith, God will turn your situation around for your good.

Jesus, also went through pain. Exceedingly sorrowful He prayed: “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will” (Matthew 26:39). He endured the ultimate pain of sacrifice when He was crucified on the cross. Yet, He suffered it all, so you don’t have to!

So why not exercise your faith and join the Via Dolorosa Chain of Prayer.
