your local Universal Church,
A researcher at University College London has busted this myth in a study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology. The study examined the habits of 96 people over a 12-week period. Each person chose one new habit for the 12 weeks and reported each day on whether or not they did the new habit and how automatic the behaviour felt to them.
The study concluded that it takes more than 2 months before a new behaviour becomes automatic, specifically, 66 days. However individually this varies depending on the habit you are taking up and your circumstances. In this particular study, it took anywhere from 18 days to 254 days for people to form a new habit.
Here at the Universal Church, we are 35 days into the 100-day challenge. We are proposing this challenge for all those who want a total change in their lives by the end of this year, starting with their spiritual life and then extending to all other areas.
Every Wednesday and Sunday we will speak more about it, so don’t miss the services on these days! If you still don’t have your 100-day calendar, you can receive it at your local Universal Church. You can also download it by clicking here.
