That’s exactly what this purpose is for! However, amid this search, every person must ask themselves an important question: ‘Why do I want to receive the Holy Spirit?’

The answer to this question matters deeply. God doesn’t just look at our actions; He examines our intentions. While this is a wonderful and necessary pursuit, the reason behind your desire makes all the difference.

Some may seek the Holy Spirit simply because others around them have already received Him. They don’t want to feel left out, less spiritual or “behind.” Others might want to feel important or validated, as if this would prove their worth or holiness.

But the Spirit of the Lord is not a badge of honour or a spiritual status symbol. He is the presence of the Most High dwelling within us – not to make us feel superior, but to empower us to serve, obey and glorify Him.

“You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.”(James 4:3). If our reason for seeking God’s presence is rooted in pride, comparison or selfish ambition, we will surely be left empty-handed. Our true motivation must be to glorify His Name.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon someone, it’s to transform them into a witness of Jesus Christ – someone who will be used to lead others to salvation, help the broken-hearted and live in righteousness.

The Holy Spirit gives us the power to overcome sin, the boldness to share our faith and the strength to face life’s trials. But above all, He makes us one with God, and that unity isn’t for personal gain, but so that we can be instruments in His hands.

So today, we encourage you to reflect: do you want the Holy Spirit just to feel good, or to do good? Is your greatest desire to see God’s Name glorified in your life? If you conclude that your intentions are sincere and good, then keep pushing forward because you are on the right path, and soon you will receive the greatest blessing ever!

On the other hand, if you realise you have been seeking Him for selfish intentions, change your ways but don’t let this put you down. God is not looking for perfection; He is looking for sincerity. Be truthful to Him and ask Him to change your heart and instil His will and vision within you. He will certainly guide you along the right path.

[7

post-1906","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-daily-post
["GET
