Some people stop watching worldly shows or scrolling through social media \u2013 which is great \u2013 but then immediately fill that space with hours of Biblical series, church-related YouTube videos, gospel music, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although these things are spiritually healthier and uplifting \u2013 and can be beneficial during these 21 days \u2013 we can\u2019t let them become our \u201cnew entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The purpose of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uckg.org\/fastofdaniel\/about\/\">Fast of Daniel<\/a> is not just to swap one type of content for another. It\u2019s to go deeper, develop a personal connection with God, and hear His voice more clearly. And this cannot happen if your mind is constantly filled with information \u2013 even good information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s wonderful to have access to so many faith-based resources, but we must be careful not to treat them as substitutes for a true relationship with God.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Someone can watch Christian content from morning to night and still go to bed feeling spiritually dry. Why? Because they never took the time to meditate on the Word, sat quietly to talk to God and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to them. Activity is not the same as connection. You can be spiritually \u201cbusy\u201d and still feel distant from the Lord.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So yes, keep engaging with the messages of faith we share daily and take moments to enjoy quality time with your family watching a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.univervideo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biblical series<\/a>, but use these as tools to enhance your personal connection with God \u2013 and never in exchange for it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take a step back and give God the quiet, undivided attention He deserves.
