This is no coincidence; it’s spiritual warfare.

The Bible teaches us that the devil doesn’t rest. He is constantly seeking ways to steal, kill and destroy (see John 10:10). And when someone commits to a purpose like the Fast of Daniel, which is all about spiritual renewal and closeness to God, he intensifies his attacks, simply because he knows the power that comes from a true connection with the Most High.

Although spiritual battles may be invisible, their effects are very real. You might feel inexplicably discouraged, overwhelmed, or start questioning whether your prayers are working. You might face unexpected problems at home, at work, or in your health – all strategically designed to distract you or push you away from God’s presence.

But here’s the good news: we are not defenceless. When problems arise and negative thoughts or fear creeps in, follow His example: declare God’s promises.
