Hundreds of group members and returnees attended the Old Garments meeting last week Saturday at the Rainbow Theatre. This meeting was an opportunity to exchange their old garments (old lifestyle) for a new one (promise of salvation):

“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life;…” (Revelation 3:5)

Bishop James shared with those present that the greatest battle is the one within the mind. We have control over the thoughts we choose to retain or dismiss, this can be likened to changing a channel when watching something you don’t like.

Selena who attended this meeting shared her view on it:

“My soul was fed in the meeting today. Every word came from the Altar directly to me. I won’t forget the message and more importantly, will practice what I’ve learned. Philippians 4:8 is the sword to fight against the battle in our minds and the lies from the devil.”
