Si bien es m\u00e1s com\u00fan en personas de ascendencia africana y caribe\u00f1a, cualquiera puede heredar esta afecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En conmemoraci\u00f3n del Mes de Concientizaci\u00f3n sobre la Anemia Falciforme, el Grupo de Atenci\u00f3n al Paciente (PCG), un grupo comunitario de voluntarios de la IURD que ayudan a los pacientes y sus familias a trav\u00e9s de oraciones, visitas y apoyo espiritual, organizaron un evento de concienciaci\u00f3n sobre la anemia falciforme para generar conciencia p\u00fablica sobre la enfermedad en nuestra comunidad local. Estuvieron presentes oradores p\u00fablicos del NHS y la Sociedad de la Anemia Falciforme, abordaron los desaf\u00edos y hablaron sobre los recursos disponibles para los afectados.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El evento se llev\u00f3 a cabo este s\u00e1bado 21 de septiembre a las 15h en Finsbury Park, 232 Seven Sisters Road, N4 3NX.
